Common questions
Does Find My Car automatically detect that I parked?
No. You press Save once you have stopped. Automatic parking detection when the screen is locked is not offered in this edition.
Do I need to register or pay?
No. The Free edition costs nothing and has no expiration or mandatory account.
Can it help inside a parking garage?
GPS can be inaccurate or unavailable in garages. Add your floor, section, or stall number as a note.
Will my parking location synchronize between phones?
No. It is stored locally in that browser. Clearing browser storage or changing browsers may erase access to the saved location.
What does the $4.99 Pro upgrade include?
The separately packaged browser Pro edition supports up to five vehicles, a limited parking history, a visible parking timer while the app stays open, and private backup export/import. The dedicated paid checkout is not active; request availability using the contact link above.
How location privacy works
The app asks for GPS only when you press Save. It stores the resulting coordinates on the device in browser local storage, not on our servers. Walking Directions opens Google Maps and passes the saved destination to Google only after you tap it. Your browser can clear local storage, and GPS is often inaccurate in garages; note your floor or space.
Do not use while driving. Browser-based parking assistance does not automatically detect a vehicle stopping while the phone is locked. Android APK background detection is not included in this release.
